Hello friends,
My name is Mike Payton, and I’m reaching out with a heart full of stories, songs, and hope.
I’m a husband, father, former youth and music minister—and now, I’m stepping out in faith to record my very first full-length Christian country album: “Footprints of Life.” Every lyric on this album comes straight from the dirt roads, detours, divine moments, and memories of my journey. These songs are more than melodies—they’re testimonies.
Why “Footprints of Life”?
Each track is inspired by real moments in my life: growing up as a preacher’s kid, walking through grief, wrestling with grace, raising a son with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and finding God’s faithfulness in the middle of it all. These aren’t just my stories—they’re footprints I believe others will recognize as their own. My prayer is that these songs will meet people where they are and point them to Jesus.
What’s on the Album?
Songs like “Give It To God,” “Share The Gospel,” “Stand Your Ground,” and “Walk A Mile In Their Shoes” carry messages of surrender, purpose, spiritual ownership, endurance, and compassion. These songs are rooted in scripture, shaped by the roads I’ve walked, and driven by a deep desire to speak truth in love through country music that sounds like home.
Here’s Where You Come In:
Recording a professional album takes more than just passion—it takes resources. I’m humbly asking for help raising $7,500 to bring this project to life. Your support will help cover:
Studio time and production
Mixing and mastering
Musicians and possibly background vocals
Artwork and packaging
Digital distribution to streaming platforms
Performance accompaniment tracks
Whether you give $10 or $1,000, every dollar helps me share this music with the world—and hopefully touch lives with the Gospel in ways only music can.
More Ways to Help:
If you can’t give financially, I’d still be so grateful if you could share this page with others or simply lift this project up in prayer. I believe God can use these songs in ways I may never even see—but I’m trusting Him every step of the way.
I’m not doing this to chase fame or fortune. I just want to be faithful to His calling. My dream is to use these recordings as the foundation for a ministry—one where I can do a little local traveling, sing, and share the love of Jesus through the songs He’s laid on my heart. If just one life is changed because of this music, it’ll be worth it all.
Thank you for reading this and for walking with me in the Footprints of Life.
With gratitude,
Mike Payton
