I’m Mike Clip Payne, and I’m beyond excited to share a project that’s truly a "Labor of Love"—our album The Emperor Has No Clones.

Over the past 20 years, this album has faced a series of incredible challenges, from lost recordings due to hard drive crashes, a house fire, to stolen gear while on tour. But through it all, we've kept the vision alive. This album is a reflection of that journey—a collection of tracks recorded in all kinds of places, from studios to hotel rooms, backstage areas to apartments around the world. It’s a true testament to resilience and passion for the music we love.

As part of the 420 FUNK MOB—a collective on a mission to bring the funk back to the forefront—I’m honored to collaborate with legendary artists like Funk Master George Clinton, Mike Hampton, and other iconic P-Funk musicians. This project isn’t just an album; it’s a celebration of our roots and an invitation to experience funk in a whole new way.

But I need your help to make it all happen.

I’m reaching out to you to help finalize this incredible project. With your support, I can hire a talented team to manage our social media and promote the album, helping us build an online presence as we move toward our release date on January 16th, 2025.
