Help Mike Overcome His Medical Crisis
Donation protected
On June 10, Mike was experiencing a severe headache and complete blindness. He was found to have a brain bleed and large mass on his pituitary gland. Mike was flown to OHSU in Portland, Oregon for emergency brain surgery. Post surgery, he is still experiencing vision loss.
On June 18, he was flown again to OHSU to manage electrolytes and possible infection in spinal fluid. He is currently still admitted as the various medical teams are working to get him stable.
We are experiencing unexpected financial hardship from Laura having to stay in Portland and large medical bills. Mike will be facing rehabilitation for 2-3 weeks to help with building his strength and orienting himself to his new way of doing things. He will be there until he is strong and stable.
All of this is draining mentally and physically on both of us. Our future is uncertain if his vision will return. We have been given 3-6 months for his vision to get to a new baseline. We are hopeful that the quick surgical treatment will have saved some sight but until the swelling goes down, it is an unknown.
We are being blessed with prayers and many have asked how to donate to our newly acquired situation. This is difficult to do for us but understand that family and friends want to help. Thank you for all the prayers on our behalf.
