Hi everyone,

I’m writing this on behalf of someone I love deeply: My brother Mike Marigliano, a 29-year-old nursing student and talented musician who just received a devastating diagnosis of Plasmablastic Lymphoma, an extremely rare and aggressive cancer. This cancer is spreading rapidly in the sinus and facial area, and other surrounding vital structures near his eye. This diagnosis has all happened incredibly fast, and we’re in a race against time. Mike has been here every step of the way for me, including our father's passing 3 years ago, and I need him for every other step life has in store for us.

The doctors are starting an intense chemotherapy regimen called EPOCH, which requires hospitalization for 5 days at a time with constant 24/7 IV chemo. This will be the start of his treatment, including 6 rounds of chemo, following radiation therapy, and finally a bone marrow transplant. It’s one of the ONLY and most intense treatments available, but we have hope. Mike will be in and out of the hospital every month for the next 6 to 7 months for his chemo treatments. Our lives will ALL be adjusted during this fight.

There is hope with this treatment, including a potentially life-saving medication, Daratumumab (Dara), that when added to this chemo regimen, has been shown in clinical trials to significantly improve survival and remission rates for this exact cancer.

But here’s the issue: the injection is over $14,000 per dose, and insurance is delaying or denying coverage. Mike's treatment requires 12 doses.

We’re asking for help - anything you can give - so that Mike can start this treatment with the full power of modern medicine behind him. Every dollar brings us closer to a chance at full remission and for our family to be at peace again.
