Help Mike Keep His House

As many of you may or may not know, my Brother Mike Namisnak was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon and liver cancer. He is currently in a hospital in Virginia Beach trying to get strong enough to resume his chemo. As if the diagnosis is not devistating enough it is compounded by the fact that as a full time substitute teacher Mike was not afforeded health insurance. For this reason he was not able to afford the screenings that may have dected the cancer before it had progressed. This leads to my appeal to those of you who know Mike or those of you who don't but have a giving heart.  Because Mike does not have Insurance he has been  forced to apply for Medicade and Disability. Both of which are still pending. In order to be eligiable for these benifits he has had to liquidate his assets. Mike is able to keep his home and a vehicle. His truck is paid off and his mortgage is current until February. This is where I am asking for your help. I would like to be able to make sure his home is paid for all of 2017. As noted the first two months are already covered. I am seeking help for the remaining 10 months at$900 a month. After a year we should have a better idea of Mike's future. If he is able to work and continue to live in his home then we will access that situation as it unfolds. Or if he is unable to work and we have to find other means of housing we will do that. It is also important to note that Mike is a bachelor and his main care giver when not in the hospital is my 84 year old father who has temporaily left his home in New Jersey to be with Mike. 
     Mike is a caring guy who would never dream of asking for a handout of any kind. To those who know him he is a friends friend. He has spent most of his adult life in Virginia beach. He is a graduate of Old Dominion University, and a huge supporter of the schools athletic teams. He loves the New York Mets and is an avid sports autograph collector. Other than sports Mike, like much of my family, is one of the most fanatic Bruce Springsteen fans around. Mike is just a good guy who never thought this could or would happen to him.
   To sum it up and put it bluntly, Mike is in tough shape and my dad is overwhelmed. Taking care of the house would relieve a lot of the burden for both of them. Any money recieved will go towards paying his mortgage from Feburary forward. Anything above and beyond will be used to pay down what ever medical bills are not covered by Medicade. If a monetary donation is not possible we graciously ask for your prayers. I'm sure if you asked my brother he would say he was fine and this was not nessesary. Unfortunatly it is nessesary so I humbley ask you on his behalf to consider giving if you can. Thankful and greatful are words that would fall short of how we would feel for you generosity.
