My name is Josh, one of Mike's friends/his apprentice. I’m starting this GoFundMe due to the unfortunate medical circumstances Mike is currently facing. On 10/29, Mike suffered a stroke, and he’ll be out of work for some time. His medical bills are piling up, and we (us at the shop) wanted to help alleviate a portion of his troubles/stress while he’s taking the time to heal and rest properly. While we’re adapting at the shop awaiting his return and recovery, we would like to thank everyone for your support for him and Banzai Tattoos throughout the years. Aloha, my name is Alex, I am Mike’s son.

I would like to give an enormous thank you to Josh and the Banzai crew for initially setting this up.

As Josh has mentioned, Mike recently suffered a life-changing stroke that affected the left side of his body. This stroke has taken away so many of the simple things we take for granted.

Mike has always been an incredible friend, a loving family member, and someone who would give anything to help others. But now, he’s the one who needs our help. Since his stroke, he has faced things that are both physically and emotionally exhausting. Yet, despite the frustration and pain, he pushes forward each day.

The journey ahead is long and costly. Medical bills and the special equipment needed to aid his recovery all add up, creating a financial burden on top of an already difficult situation. With your support, Mike can regain strength in his left side and hopefully get back to the activities he once loved.
