*****After talking to Mike's family we decided to raise our goal. We are raising money for a nicer bench and additional plaques.

Hello, my name is Ashley Nichols on behalf of the Nichols family. We are creating this Go Fund Me page to remember Mike and all the memories at the Hayward’s party store. Our goal is to get a memorial bench outside of Hayward’s or around that area to honor Mike. 

You will be missed by many.

Mike Kouza

A man that treated all his customers as his family.

Things people describe about Mike one of the most kind, wonderful man, true gentleman, hard working, loving to his family and everyone who came in the store.

Always knew when you walked in the store that he would be there greeting you with a hello and a smile.

If you were a regular enough customer, you would get a personalized gift bag at Christmas time and you always made a special trip on your birthday to get either a complimentary candy bar or shot.

Adored his three girls. Hailey was there most of the summer with the same smile. Packing up your purchases or making commercials to put on social media.

Loved the Lions. He had season tickets and was patiently waiting for them to win. Sadly, you never got to see that Mike.

Mike wasn’t only just a father, brother, or husband, he was a friend. A friend to everyone that came into his store. 

Taken way to soon Mike, you will always be a part of Belleville. 

Any money donated over the goal will be donated to his young daughters the frequently worked at the store as some of you may know.
