Hi. Thank you for taking the time to read this. My partner of nine years, Mike Evans, is a very talented and hardworking finish carpenter. Last night, he lost literally every tool he works with every day in the Alta Dena fire. He was working at the home of a long-time client and dear friend. Sadly, their home is just gone. Everyone is safe, but Mike drove as close to the house as possible to try to help save the house... not his precious tools. It’s maddening, but that’s what Mike does. He shows up for EVERYONE!!!! He shows up because his heart is so full of love. Today, he cried for his client whose home was lost. My heart is broken for him. He spent years building his business and raising two kids, all the while living a sober life for 30 years. It would mean the world if you could help a man who is always there to help others. This ask will probably hit his ego a bit... but I know he’ll be overwhelmed with gratitude. As will I.
