Hi I’m Sophie! I'm setting up this fundraiser for my sweet friends Mike and Emma (and their sweet pup Polar) to help them rebuild their lives after a devastating loss.

On May 12, Mike and Emma lost everything when their home on Bathurst Street was destroyed in a devastating fire. The house was completely burned down—leaving them with nothing.

Thankfully, everyone is safe and their incredible dog Polar was rescued, but she was trapped inside and is now recovering from the trauma and injuries of the fire. She’s going to need some vet care, new gear, and a lot of love to get through this.

If you know Mike and Emma, you know that they are two of the most generous, kind-hearted people. They’re the kind of friends who always make you feel welcome, and who care deeply about the people and animals around them. Now they need our help!

The money raised will go directly toward helping them rebuild—covering everything from clothes, toiletries, and furniture to Polar’s vet bills, new harnesses and toys, and all the basic things you need when you're starting from scratch.
