We need a miracle fam. January 3 is our next court date to try and regain custody of our son from my mother in law. Since the last court date in September my husband lost his job to the mandate, and we are barely able to make ends meet, never mind save for this next trip. We have to drive again from California to Virginia, which takes 3-4 days, leaving on December 29, basically 2weeks, and we don’t have a dime, and can’t even pay our bills this month. All the bills are a month behind and we haven’t been able to pay rent since August. The lawyer fees eat up more than half my meager income from waiting tables, and to ice the cake the breaks are out on our car and can’t even afford to fix them.
It has been nearly 4 years now since we asked my mother in law to keep Jack for a few months when we moved out West. I had received multiple scholarships and grants to attend California Institute of the Arts for my MA. We drove out as a family but got scammed on our rental house and ended up homeless . Rather than keep our son in this situation we asked Serena if she could watch him while we found a house and waited for my grant money. It surely did come through and we found a nice house, and when we called for our son 4 months later as promised, she revealed that she had gone to court behind our backs and lied to the judge saying she had no idea where we were or how to get in touch with us, and that we had just abandoned our son to go on adventure. All lies, we were on Skype or calling our son constantly and she even had a forwarding address and the name and number of my mentor at school.
So since then we have been fighting to get him back to no avail.
She is not saved and watches CNN on a stream constantly so we fear she will vaccinate our Jack now that it has been cleared for 5-11 year olds. He suffers reoccurring nightmares and spiritual attacks that he describes vividly. He has even developed the ability to lucid dream in order to defend himself. He needs his parents!
Normally I am far too ashamed to ask for help of this kind, but in light of the Dideche study on Friday, I feel God has moved me to reach out. Please, if anyone can help us get to our son, you can’t imagine the gratitude. Our hearts are worn and exhausted and broken, we have no friends or family to speak of since we got saved, and we have absolutely nowhere to turn.
