On March 25, 2022, my fiancé Mike suffered an Anoxic Brain injury that changed our lives forever. In the beginning, he was unable to walk, talk, see, or move at all. It was a devastating time, but with the help of dedicated physical, occupational, and speech therapists, Mike has made incredible progress. Today, he can walk, speak a bit, and see a little, though he is still legally blind. His determination and resilience have been nothing short of inspiring.
Recently, Mike began a new brain treatment at Trilogy Health & Performance with Dr. Jarod and Dr. Ari. After just one complimentary session, we saw major improvements, especially from the hyperbaric chamber, which is just one part of their comprehensive approach. They are located in Middletown, CT and we are located in Ansonia, CT. Mike noticed more range of motion, the tension in his cheek released—allowing him a full smile and making it easier for me (Steven, his fiancé) to brush his teeth—and his tongue fell back into place, making speech easier. This treatment offers real hope for further recovery by promoting cell regrowth and new neuropathways. Our greatest wish is for Mike to become as independent as possible and continue helping others, which has always been his passion.
However, the costs of ongoing treatment, therapy, and travel are significant, especially since Mike is on a fixed income. That’s why we are reaching out to our community for support. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help Mike continue his journey toward recovery and independence. Thank you for considering helping us during this challenging time. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us.
