Help Mike Coats fight cancer

Last month our dad was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Scans and surgeries showed it was found in multiple areas of the body including on the lungs and in cavities. The last oncology appointment gave a prognosis of 1-2 years.

He recently had surgery (4.17.23) to remove the blocked colon and it was unsuccessful due to the cancer growth completely blocking the colon and is attached to the abdominal wall. Once he has recovered from surgery, he can begin chemo.

It's unclear what insurance will cover for chemo but we're looking to raise funds to make accommodations at the house to help with treatment such as safer ways to get in and out of the house, bathroom accessibility and maybe a regular cleaning crew and/or caregiver for the home.

We have a long road ahead and anything helps.
