Help Mike Campbell and family with Medical expense

“Always forward but never straight ahead” A quote Mike Campbell would often say to his friends, family & colleagues. For over the past 3 decades Mike has been working in the travel industry sending people to their dream destinations & encouraging people to see the world. However, due to Covid Mike lost his job. The only thing he loves more than sharing the world - is his family- wife Eva, children Emma & Alex- and new grand children. Due to the Pandemic he has yet to even see his newest grandchild.

To say the past 18 months have been incredibly stressful and heartbreaking for them is an understatement and on Saturday May 29, 2021 , Memorial weekend Mike went into cardiac arrest and suffered a stroke. His beloved daughter Emma gave him CPR until the ambulance arrived. He was airlifted to Iowa city where he is still in the ICU.

His road to recovery is long and he will remain at the hospital until he is well enough to move to a rehabilitation facility where he will be at the minimum a month and then unsure what the future will hold. Eva will need to travel the long journey back and forth from Galena to Iowa City and then to Davenport, IA where the rehab facility is.

I am Amanda Speer a coworker and family friend, they have granted me permission to share his story and coordinate this fundraiser on their behalf. It is a small detail that carries a lot of weight and the monies will go to help with Medical cost and expenses for family to be with him.
