Mike & Kristi went and had scans Friday at CTCA to prepare for his surgery this Wednesday. We received a call from his surgical urologist on Saturday with devastating news. The tumors has progressed so quickly and grown that it now engulfs his psoas muscle and all the nerves and it is growing around the bottom

of his spine. It is also grown so much that it’s 1cm under his skin and trying to grow out of his skin. We had noticed a lump on his back last week and this is what it is coming from. He told us it is inoperable and their is nothing else he can do for us. We asked about a clinical trial and because it is so rare there is nothing out there for us. He told us he will probably never see another case like his in his lifetime, that is how rare his type of cancer is. This is not the news we were hoping for but we know this didn’t take God by surprise. we ask for your prayers for our family and peace as we go through this difficult time. Please pray for Landon, we had to tell him yesterday, and as a parent this is nothing you ever want to share with your 13 year old. Our hearts are broken. we have decided to pull Landon out of school and home school him so he has as much time with his dad with the time we have left. We are supposed to meet with pain management this week to get a better plan and get his pain under control. There are things we want to do as a family while we can if we can get this pain under control to see some things on Mike’s bucket list.
