Help Mike build a wood

This year, I am looking to raise an amount that will allow the equivalent of a new wood to be planted, in honour of both my Mum, and my wife's Nan, who we sadly lost in a short space of time in the latter part of 2024.

As a wildlife, nature and landscape photographer, I understand the importance of providing a natural habitat for nature to thrive. Trees also provide us humans with vital oxygen, as well as woods being a great place for people to go and mentally recharge. Being out in nature is great for mental health, as I know first hand. Trees can also a great assistant with flood prevention!

The national trust allow donations to plant a tree, stating a £5 donation "could help plant and protect a new sapling", however following brief research, purchasing a new tree would cost a lot less, and as a result, I will seek to see if I can find a charity or trust who would like to partner with myself in the project of "planting a new wood" to try and maximise any donations we raise. However, if I am unable to establish any connections, the donations will be passed to the national trust to help them plant tress.

I have started my target low, BUT I would love to be in a position to raise substantially more than the target to make sure a new wood can be planted. To plant just 1 ache of new trees will result in needing over 100 tress.

So please, be it a penny or a pound, any contributions are massively appreciated and will all go towards hopefully being in a position to build a new home for nature.

This will run for the whole of 2025 to raise as much money as possible.
