Help Mike Buck Tap Out Cancer
Street Sports Simi Valley has another dear family member who has a challenging road ahead. That being said, Mike Buck is a tough dude. Those who’ve had the chance to train with him will agree that it’s always a battle and he’s incredibly difficult to submit. We have no doubt that he’s going to give this latest challenge the same treatment.
Unfortunately, Mike learned in late January that he has stage-3 (or higher) colo-rectal cancer. As things stand now, radiation and chemo are needed to shrink the mass to a size where doctors can safely remove it.
Mike is going to beat this and everything is going to be okay, but some extra help along the way would be greatly appreciated. He works as a freelance copywriter, and anyone who writes for a living knows that if he’s not writing, he’s not making money – and the medical bills are coming.
It’s not known when he’ll be able to get back to work with the long road of treatment and recovery ahead, but getting well is the main priority, both his and ours.
So we’re reaching out to not only his Street Sports family, but to his St. Jude community, longtime friends, those he’s worked with over the years, and the family he has across the country…please give what you can. Anything helps.
