On March 5, 2026, my brother Mike and his wife Bridget's lives were turned upside down when devastating storms and relentless rain flooded their home in East Texas in a matter of hours.

Their home - the place that should have been safe - was filled with floodwater and mud, destroying nearly everything they owned. Furniture, personal belongings, keepsakes, and many of the everyday essentials we all rely on were lost.

As their family, we wanted to create this fundraiser to help support them as they begin the long and difficult process of cleaning up, recovering, and rebuilding after losing so much in the flood.

While Mike and Bridget do have homeowners insurance, the reality is that insurance rarely covers everything after a disaster like this.

They are now facing a very large deductible, along with many expenses that simply aren't included in their policy.

To make matters even more challenging, they will be displaced from their home for quite some time while repairs are made. With their beloved animals - dogs, cats, and chickens. Hotels and many short-term rentals simply cannot accommodate their animals, leaving them trying to find a safe and stable place to stay during the long recovery ahead.

Anyone who knows Mike and Bridget knows the kind of people they are: hardworking, kindhearted, and always the first to help someone else in need. Mike & Bridget means the world to me, and watching them go through something so devastating has been incredibly painful for our entire family.

This fundraiser is meant to help them get through the difficult weeks and months ahead. Donations will help with:

• Replacing essential items lost in the flood

• Cleanup and recovery costs not covered by insurance
