Hello, my name is Lisa Davis. If anyone knows my son-in-law, Mike Bishop, you know he is a loving family man, hardworking, a stand-up guy and just all-around wonderful person. He has raised two handsome and caring boys, who are now adults and have lives of their own, and he has been with the love of his life, my daughter, Cheyenne Bishop for almost 30 years. Unfortunately, Mike had a stroke last week (right around 2/15 or 2/16) we aren’t sure of the exact date the stroke occurred. Currently, he doesn’t have the use of his legs and he has lost some of his memory and is finding it difficult to remember people, places and just details of his daily life. He just got transferred to Queen of the Valley for acute rehabilitation. After the loss of their business a couple of years ago, both Cheyenne and Mike have been working together doing Insta-Cart to make ends meet and they were actually doing well with that, and they were able to meet their needs. They weren’t rolling in dough, but it paid the bills and put food on their table. Well, all of that has come to a screaming halt due to the stroke. Cheyenne is traveling back and forth to Napa daily to help care for Mike and to learn how to provide rehabilitation once he is able to return home. Cheyenne will be assisting with Mike’s needs once he is home and she will also be applying for Social Security Disability Benefits, but if anyone knows that process, it could take quite a long time to be approved.

Any help that you could provide to them during this time would be appreciated so much, as they will have zero income until Cheyenne is able to return to at least part time work.
