Help Bayview Mike & Tina Help Local Food Banks!

Mike & Tina Rutledge have been enthusiastic members of the Rondeau community since they purchased the Bayview Market several years ago. They've worked hard to provide a variety of new services and products to attract more visitors to the South Kent area. They are always adapting to the season and ensuring they're prepared -- you can now buy a lottery ticket, fill your tires with air, get an ice cream cone, buy your favourite can of local craft beer, worms for your ice/bay fishing, fresh roasted wienies from the BBQ, and so much more -- all in one place, year round!

Over the winter Mike & Tina were thrilled to hear the Rondeau campgrounds had record-setting reservations for April & May so they stocked-up with extra inventory. But then just a day before the campground was scheduled to open the province announced new pandemic restrictions and closed all provincial park campgrounds indefinitely. Now Mike & Tina are a facing a big bill for extra inventory that will be a challenge to sell, since most cottage families (a large part of the Bayview business) will not be back until May or June.

Our Rondeau community has long been known for supporting each other and we were very concerned when we heard about what Mike & Tina were facing with the last-minute campground closure. So several members of the Rondeau community came up with an idea, then talked to Mike and Tina to make sure they were comfortable with our suggestion. They were touched by the thought and loved the idea.

Through GoFundMe we are seeking cash donations to support the Bayview Market and local Food Banks at the same time. All money donated will be given to Mike & Tina who will "go shopping" in their store for the items most-needed by local Food Banks. We think this is a win-win: Mike & Tina will recoup some of the losses they face with the campground cancellations; the items in their store won't go to waste; and local Food Banks will ultimately stock their shelves when demand is high. Any amount is sincerely appreciated.
