Last Thursday, our lives changed in an instant when my brother Mike suffered a stroke. It was unexpected and frightening, and right now our main focus is on his recovery and healing.

Mike is self-employed, which means he doesn’t have the safety net of paid sick leave or employer-provided benefits. While he fights to regain his strength, medical bills are quickly piling up — hospital care, tests, rehabilitation, medications, and follow-up appointments — all while he is unable to work and earn an income.

Anyone who knows Mike knows how hardworking, kind, and independent he is. He has always been the one to show up for others, and now he needs support during the most difficult time of his life.

We are asking for help to ease the financial burden so Mike and his wife Rose can focus fully on his recovery without the constant stress of mounting medical expenses.
