Help Mike and Richelle recover from the Park Fire

Our close friends Mike and Richelle are in need of community help due to the Park Fire raging through Northern California.

Mike and Richelle are long time residents of Cohasset, California and over the last few days have suffered devastating losses due to wildfire. Unfortunately they do not have fire insurance which will put them in a huge financial bind. Mike is a member of the custodial staff at Butte College and Richelle had lost her long time job earlier in the month, making things tight even before the fire while Richelle looked for work. Now they are facing loss of property and resources with no way to recover without support from the community.

Richelle and Mike are both hardworking wonderful people with a huge attachment to the town of Cohasset—most of which is now lost to fire. Richelle has a laugh that can be heard from a mile away and is the most amazing cook you’ve ever met. Mike is loyal and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. They are both very proud and independent people who are extremely humbled by any idea of a fundraiser.

My name is Morgan and I have been privileged to call Mike and Richelle friends for over 15 years. I live in Chico, California which is currently threatened (but holding safe) by the Park Fire. I am a lifelong resident of Butte County and a community activist and artist. All funds collected will go directly to Richelle and Mike to help them recover resources like food, clothes, other supplies and to try and regain property losses.
