Help Mike and Miriah Killeen

Dear Friends & Family,

Mike and Miriah were expecting twin babies in June. On March 3rd, Miriah went into labor and delivered her babies at 26 weeks gestation. Patrick John Killeen weighed 1 lb 13.5 ounces, and Sophia Carmella Killeen weighed 1 lb 13.7 ounces. Mike and Miriah have experienced the unimaginable and lost baby Sophia on March 8th. Patrick is still fighting in the NICU.

Planning a funeral for your baby is one of the most traumatic things a parent will have to go through. During pregnancy, expectant parents have great hopes for their new babies. They pick names, decorate rooms, make plans for their baby’s future and do everything they can to prepare for the new family members. The death of a baby destroys these hopes, fantasies and dreams. Accepting the loss of life before it had a chance to begin is extraordinarily difficult.

There are no words to describe the incredible amount of grief that their family is experiencing right now. Many friends and family have asked how they can help, so I am setting up this gofundme to help cover medical expenses, funeral costs and to help with any financial burden they may occur. No family should have to worry about this during this difficult time. Mike and Miriah are incredibly grateful for everyone's support.
