Mike was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December — a life-changing moment that has turned his and his family’s world upside down. Mike is currently undergoing treatment at Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle, facing each day with remarkable strength and determination.

While Mike continues to work at DIS as he is able, Kristan has stepped away from her role teaching preschool at Loving Space to become his full-time care partner. Her days are now centered on supporting Mike through treatment, appointments, and the physical and emotional toll of this journey.
