Hello friends and family of Michael and Ashley Nicholson, recently they were blindsided with devastating news in early July 2020.  He was hospitalized for several days and diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy (disease of the heart muscle) which lead to heart failure.

For the last month Michael has spent most of his days in bed, He is extremely sick from his medications and he is having a lot of trouble adjusting to them, for they have undesirable side effects. He is fatigued and weak. He has already accrued substantial medical bills, and this will be a long road ahead of agony, doctors’ appointments, emergency room visits, tests, changes to his meds, etc.  

Michael has a 14-year-old son John, and he and his wife Ashley have a 2.5-year-old baby girl together, Claire. He’s also a stepfather to 15-year-old Lily and 12-year-old Ryatt. He is an extremely hard worker and loves his family more than anything.

He recently obtained his C-20 specialty CA HVAC contractors license in January of 2019, took the leap and started his own business that was thriving. It all came to a screeching halt with this tragedy. Being unable to work, bills will continue to pile up. This family can use all the help, love and support they can get, even if it is not of monetary value. They were not prepared for a catastrophe of this magnitude.

Last week Michael and Ashley visited a new cardiologist for a second opinion. If the new medications do not improve Michael's cardiac function in the next couple of months, he will get a referral to a heart transplant center and be put on a list. As we all can imagine, this was very drastic news to hear and speaks to the severity of Michael's diagnosis.
