Help Mikayla's Loved Ones in Their Time of Loss

In her 25 years with us, Mikayla Wright spread a pure and powerful love and kindness that will surely outlive her far too short life. Growing up in Durango and choosing to remain in the community she loved as an adult, Mikayla encouraged us all to revel in beautiful wild places and to take good, good care of one another. She was joyful and curious, selfless and wise beyond her years.

Mikayla passed away tragically and suddenly in a boating accident on Lake Navajo on July 6. Her half-sister Jayden was seriously injured in the accident as well, and a separate GoFundMe for Jayden has been set up for her medical expenses.
