Hello everyone. My name is Mi'Kaiya, I'm 21 years old, and I'm a blind individual currently living in San Jose, California.

I'm receiving donations because I was just in an extremely toxic environment. I recently lived with what used to be my IHSS (In-home Supportive Services) worker. She was extremely mentally and emotionally abusive. A few days ago, when I needed medical attention, she said I was acting dumb and would basically act like I was being overdramatic, making everything about her and her feelings. This eventually led me to check myself into a psychiatric facility because I felt really unwanted and stuck.

She has talked about me to her friends, saying I should have stayed in a mental facility instead of with her, called me names, and I no longer felt safe living there. I'm currently in a hotel; however, I'm running out of the funds to pay for it. I really need help. I'm trying to get my own apartment, get a job, and just live independently, so I don't have to deal with these issues. Any donations would really, truly help. Thank you guys for your support.
