SUPPORT MIKAIL’S JOURNEY - WLC 2024 AUSTRALIA

Jambo, my name is Mikail and I have been selected as a youth member of Team Kenya to represent Kenya Lifesaving Federation in the World Lifesaving Championships 2024 to be held in Gold Coast Australia in August / September 2024. This prestigious event gathers lifesaving athletes from around the globe to compete in various disciplines aimed at testing their skills in rescue and safety techniques.

I am a dedicated lifesaving and rowing athlete. I have been training in pool lifesaving since the age of 10, I am now 15 years old. Over the last few years, I've been refining my abilities in pool rescue races through rigorous regimes involving early mornings training, gym sessions, and countless hours spent perfecting my techniques in the water.

As I prepare to compete, I'm also faced with the challenge of securing funding for the trip. At the moment the Kenya Lifesaving Federation is unable to cover the expenses due to financial constraints. Therefore, I've launched a GoFundMe campaign with a goal of raising AUD$6,500 to cover essential costs such as competition registration, travel, accommodation, training, and equipment.

Your support would mean everything to me as I strive to represent Kenya at this international event. Every donation, no matter the size, brings me closer to achieving my goal of competing in the World Lifesaving Championships 2024.
