Help Mika Get the Second Chance She Deserves

Hi friends & fellow dog lovers,

A few weeks ago, I opened my heart and home to a sweet rescue dog named Mika. In her short two years of life, Mika has already had four different owners and spent over 300 days in a shelter. She’s been overlooked, misunderstood, and let down more times than any dog should.

But I saw something in her—a spark, a goofy playfulness, and a heart that just wants to feel safe and loved.

Mika is 98% perfect. She’s smart, listens well, loves her walks, and makes me laugh every day. But she’s also deeply protective, has shown signs of prey-driven aggression toward my cat, and can be reactive when it comes to protecting me or the house. These are not signs of a bad dog—they’re signs of a dog that’s never had a consistent, loving, or structured life.

I had a master trainer evaluate her, and the good news is Mika is completely fixable. With the right training, love, and consistency, she can learn to trust, socialize, and live a full, happy life. The program offers lifetime training, confidence-building, and access to a socialization club where she can learn how to safely interact with other dogs and people.

This is Mika’s last shot—not at survival, but at thriving.

The only thing standing in our way is the cost. The full training program is just under $4,000, and right now, I simply can’t swing that on my own. But I’m not giving up on her. I’m asking for help from anyone who believes that every dog deserves a chance to be understood and loved.
