Help Mika Chase Her Skating Dream with Team Canada

Hi, my name is Marilyn, and I’m a proud mom doing everything I can to support my daughter Mika in pursuing something truly incredible. Mika is an alumni figure skater/synchro skater from Pembroke Skating Club, Petawawa Skating Club, and skated 1 summer with the Mariposa School Of Skating. She is currently in Grade 12 at Bishop Smith Catholic High School.

Mika has been skating since she was just 4 years old. It’s been her passion, her outlet, and her dream. She turned 18 on May 1st, and received an email that she’s been offered the chance of a lifetime to skate with

Team Nova Junior, a prestigious synchronized skating team based in St Hubert - Quebec, for the 2025/2026 season.

This isn’t just any offer, it's the culmination of over a decade of hard work, early mornings and late nights at the rink, countless competitions, and deep commitment. Beyond skating, this opportunity will help Mika grow as a young adult, living out of Province and gaining independence, all while doing what she loves most.

Mika also recently completed her NCCP Regional Coaching Certification and hopes to give back to the sport by coaching future generations. She’s a driven, kind, and talented young woman with so much potential, I want nothing more than to help her spread her wings.

As a single mom to Mika and her younger brother Dominik, I’ve always worked hard to provide the best life I can for them. While I’m doing everything I can to support Mika’s dream, I simply cannot do it alone.

We are kindly asking for your help. The funds raised will go directly toward Mika’s skating dream. The funds will help with the fees for the season, housing, transportation, food, and other essentials during her stay in Quebec.
