Mijn naam is Thymen en ik sta voor de moeilijkste strijd van mijn leven. Mijn dochter (4 jaar) is vorig jaar (31-10-2024) door haar moeder meegenomen naar Polen, zonder mijn toestemming en in strijd met ons gezamenlijk gezag. Sindsdien vecht ik dag in, dag uit om haar terug te krijgen en haar een veilige, stabiele toekomst te geven.

Ik heb al talloze juridische stappen gezet: civiele procedures, een internationale kinderontvoeringszaak (Haags Verdrag), aangiftes, contact met politie, officier van justitie, en betrokken instanties. Dit alles is nodig maar het kost ongelofelijk veel tijd, energie en vooral geld.

Tot nu toe heb ik al meer dan €30.000 uitgegeven aan advocaatkosten, vertaalkosten, procedures en hoorzittingen in zowel Nederland als Polen. En ik ben er nog niet. Elke dag dat ze weg is, doet pijn maar opgeven is geen optie.

My name is Thymen, and I am facing the toughest battle of my life. My daughter (4 years old) was taken to Poland by her mother on October 31, 2024 — without my consent and in violation of our joint custody. Since that day, I have been fighting every single day to bring her back and give her a safe and stable future.

I have already taken countless legal steps: civil proceedings, an international child abduction case (Hague Convention), filed criminal complaints, and contacted the police, the public prosecutor, and other relevant authorities. All of this is necessary, but it takes an incredible amount of time, energy, and above all — money.

So far, I have spent over €30,000 on legal fees, translation costs, procedures, and hearings in both the Netherlands and Poland. And I am not done yet. Every day she is away hurts, but giving up is not an option.
