Hallo iedereen, mijn naam is Jesselynn Coutinho.

Help mij mensen in nood helpen!

In juli 2025 wil ik vrijwilligerswerk doen in Argentinië, Córdoba, als onderdeel van een extracurriculaire opdracht vanuit school.

Samen met andere jongeren ga ik daar mensen helpen op medisch gebied. We richten ons op mensen met beperkte toegang tot gezondheidszorg, zodat ook zij de zorg krijgen die ze hard nodig hebben. We gaan meelopen met artsen en verpleegkundigen in medische instellingen. We nemen deel aan medische outreaches om gezondheidszorg te bieden aan lokale gemeenschappen, zoals basisgezondheidscontroles, waaronder bloeddruk- en bloedsuikermetingen. Daarnaast zullen we medische workshops volgen om meer te leren over de gezondheidszorg in Argentinië, zoals veelvoorkomende ziektes in Argentinië en eerste hulp. Verder krijgen we ook Spaanse lessen van een bevoegde docent.

Voor deze reis en het verblijf heb ik in totaal €5.000 nodig.

Waarom vrijwilligerswerk doen in Argentinië?

Mijn passie ligt bij de gynaecologie, en later wil ik graag vrouwen met een kinderwens ondersteunen. Deze reis biedt me de kans om waardevolle ervaring op te doen in de zorg.

Daarnaast droom ik er al jaren van om vloeiend Spaans te leren spreken, lezen en schrijven. Ik geloof dat de beste manier om dit te doen is door me volledig onder te dompelen in een omgeving waar Spaans de voertaal is.

De reis duurt vier weken en aan het einde zal ik een verslag maken van mijn ervaringen, dat ik openbaar zal delen op de donatiesite. Jouw donatie wordt gebruikt om deze reis mogelijk te maken.

Maar waarom dan helemaal naar Argentinië en niet gewoon in Spanje?

In Argentinië krijg je te maken met heel andere gezondheidsuitdagingen dan in Spanje, zoals tropische ziekten, ondervoeding en beperkte toegang tot zorg in afgelegen gebieden. Dit maakt het een waardevolle ervaring voor mijn toekomstige carrière in de zorg.

Hello everyone, my name is Jesselynn Coutinho.

Help me help people in need!

In July 2025, I want to do volunteer work for an extracurricular assignment from school in Córdoba, Argentina. Together with other young people, I will help people there in the medical field. We focus on people with limited access to healthcare, so that they too can receive the care they desperately need."We will shadow doctors and nurses in medical facilities. We will participate in medical outreaches to provide health care to local communities, such as basic health checks, including blood pressure and blood sugar measurements. In addition, we will attend medical workshops to learn more about health care in Argentina, such as common diseases in Argentina and first aid. We will also receive Spanish lessons from a certified teacher.

For this trip a place to stay, I need a total of €5,000.

Why volunteer in Argentina?

My passion lies in gynecology, and in the future, I would like to help women who wish to have children. This trip offers me the chance to gain valuable experience in healthcare. I have also dreamed for years of being able to speak, read, and write Spanish fluently. I believe that the best way to do this is by being fully immersed in an environment where Spanish is the primary language. The trip lasts four weeks, and at the end, I will make a report of my experiences and share it publicly on the donation site. Your donation will be used to make this trip possible.

But why go all the way to Argentina and not just stay in Spain?

In Argentina, you encounter very different health challenges that you would not quickly come across in Spain, such as tropical diseases, malnutrition, or access to healthcare in remote areas. This, of course, is a valuable experience for a future in healthcare.

En julio de 2025, quiero hacer trabajo voluntario para una asignatura extracurricular de la escuela en Córdoba, Argentina.

Junto con otros jóvenes, ayudaré a las personas allí en el campo médico. Nos enfocamos en personas con acceso limitado a la atención médica, para que también ellos puedan recibir la atención que tanto necesitan. Seguiremos de cerca a médicos y enfermeras en centros médicos. Participaremos en actividades de extensión médica para brindar atención médica a las comunidades locales, como controles básicos de salud, incluidas mediciones de presión arterial y azúcar en sangre. Además, asistiremos a talleres médicos para aprender más sobre la atención médica en Argentina, como enfermedades comunes en Argentina y primeros auxilios. ¿Por qué hacer voluntariado en Argentina?

Mi pasión es la ginecología y, en el futuro, me gustaría ayudar a las mujeres que desean tener hijos. Este viaje me ofrece la oportunidad de adquirir una valiosa experiencia en el ámbito de la salud. También he soñado durante años con poder hablar, leer y escribir en español con fluidez. Creo que la mejor manera de hacerlo es estando completamente inmerso en un entorno donde el español sea el idioma principal. El viaje dura cuatro semanas, y al final haré un informe de mis experiencias y lo compartiré públicamente en el sitio de donaciones. Tu donación se utilizará para hacer posible este viaje.

¿Pero por qué ir hasta Argentina y no quedarse en España?

En Argentina, te enfrentas a desafíos de salud muy diferentes a los que te encontrarías rápidamente en España, como enfermedades tropicales, desnutrición o el acceso a la atención médica en áreas remotas. Esto, por supuesto, es una experiencia valiosa para el futuro en el ámbito de la salud.
