Help Mihailo’s dream of learning English in the UK come true

Hi everyone,

We are reaching out to you on behalf of someone very special: a bright, kind, and vibrant 11-year-old boy named Mihailo, from a small village in Serbia. We’ve known Mihailo since he was in his mother’s tummy, and he’s one of the most confident, perceptive, and thoughtful kids we know.

For Mihailo, English isn’t just a language — it’s a key to the wider world. Studying in the UK would not only help him grow academically and personally, but it would also carry deep personal meaning. It would give him the chance to visit some of the places where his late father once lived and studied — a man Mihailo sadly lost when he was just two years old.

Mihailo’s family dreams of him becoming fluent so he can build more possibilities for the future. And we discovered a summer youth programme right on our doorstep with International House Bristol— a two-month immersive course that includes classes, activities, and real-life daily practice.

But there’s one big challenge: the financial burden is too great for his family to manage alone— and that’s why we’re asking for your help.

We will provide Mihailo with a place to stay, meals and transport. So, we are raising the rest of the funds for:

• Registration fee and tuition for a two-month English language programme

• Round-trip travel to the UK

• Visa and travel insurance fees

• Overnight excursions to visit points of interest, particularly where Mihailo’s dad lived and studied (University of Warwick, University of Cambridge, London)
