Support Miguel's Stroke Recovery

The Watanabe Family needs our support! On Wednesday, November 3rd our beloved family member, friend and community member Miguel Watanabe suffered a significant and debilitating hemorrhagic stroke. Thankfully, he made it to the hospital and yesterday was taken off ventilation. However, they discovered that he is paralyzed on the right side of his body. Miguel has a long and intensive road ahead toward rehabilitation and of course the emotional impact of it all. Timelines are uncertain and the future is unknown.
The family will have many adjustments to make in the future. Expense of stroke rehab, now only one driver for MD, therapy appointments, kids activities, possible modifications to their home. In addition to trying to focus on Miguel's healing the Watanabes are striving and continuing to provide attentive and specialized care to their youngest child who has special needs of her own. With all of our support, this can all be a little easier for them.
As many of you may already know, Miguel is a very hardworking, active and adventurous dad. He is a dedicated husband, friend, brother and son. He is generous with his time and energy both within his family and beyond. As a cancer survivor, he has participated in bike races and fundraisers for the American Cancer Society. Miguel would be the first to support each of us should we find ourselves in a tough position, whether that be a word of encouragement, a hug or a direct demonstration of physical support through his service. Let us all join together, and support Miguel and his family now.
Please feel free to contribute as little or as much as you are willing and able. Together we can help alleviate some of the financial impact on the Watanabe family, while they focus on healing.
All proceeds will go directly to Miguel, his wife Dawn and their children toward offsetting the impact of lost wages and medical expenses.
