My name is Miguel De La Mora, and I am asking for your support during one of the hardest moments of my life.

I was brought to the United States as a child by my father, who worked tirelessly to give our family a better future. This country became our home. After becoming a U.S. citizen, I chose to serve in the Armed Forces as an act of gratitude for the opportunities and freedoms this nation gave us.

While I was serving, I applied for Parole in Place for my father—an established legal process for families of military members. While his case was still pending, my father was detained during what was supposed to be a routine appointment to verify medication for his gout. He was treated as a criminal, held without our family knowing his whereabouts, transferred from California to Texas, and ultimately flown to the Mexican border near Guatemala.

My father suffers from severe gout, which often makes it difficult for him to walk. Since his removal, we have learned that he has prostate cancer and urgently needs surgery. He is now far from his family, without adequate support, and facing a serious medical condition alone.

I am heartbroken. After serving this country with pride, I never imagined my family would experience this kind of pain and separation.

I am asking for your help—whether through support, sharing our story, or assistance with medical expenses—so my father can receive the care he desperately needs during this critical time.
