Hi, my name is Manna, and I’m the owner of Marzano. I'm starting this fundraiser for my employee and dear friend, Miguel, who is going through a serious health crisis and is currently unable to work.

Miguel has been a part of our team and family for the past four years. He was one of my very first hires after COVID, during a time when it felt nearly impossible to find anyone willing to work in the restaurant industry. But Miguel showed up. He gave 200% every single day — with grit, loyalty, and heart.

He is a responsible, dependable employee, a loving father to his children back home in Mexico, and a generous friend to so many of us here.

A few months ago, Miguel’s health took a serious turn when his kidneys began to fail. He now undergoes dialysis three times a week — a grueling routine by itself — and yet, he still showed up to work with a smile, determined to contribute and support those around him.

Then on May 21st, Miguel woke up unable to open one of his eyes. Since then, his health has only become more complicated. Though the swelling has gone down slightly, he continues to suffer from debilitating symptoms. He's been unable to work, and doctors are still trying to determine the full cause of his condition.

Through all of this, Miguel has remained resilient — but he needs our help now more than ever.

We’re raising funds to help cover Miguel’s rent, food, and other basic essentials while he focuses on getting the medical care he urgently needs. Every donation, no matter how small, is a step toward easing his burden and showing him that he’s not in this alone.
