Hello, my name is Stacey. I’m a single mother of three and work full-time. My son Miguel is 15 years old. He has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which is a progressive muscle-wasting disease. It affects all muscles, including his heart and lungs. I do all his medical stuff alone and care for him, and he can’t really do anything on his own. He has been through multiple medical procedures and almost lost him to COVID, but he survived. He is always smiling and happy and loves stuffed animals.

We have a home that is handicapped accessible for him, but I ran into some financial hardship and can’t get loans at this time due to other financial difficulties. We don’t want to sell or move because I don’t think I will find anything that is suitable for his needs. So, I’m asking for help for us to stay in our home. I will appreciate and love any help that we get. Thank you.
