Hi, my name is Miguel. I’m a 21-year-old pre-health Biology student working hard to build a future here in the United States. I came here with the hope of building a life alongside someone I loved, but unfortunately, that situation became unsafe for me.

After a particularly serious incident, I was hospitalized. Because of the circumstances, a police report was filed, and I now have a protection order in place for my safety. While the legal process is still ongoing, I’m doing everything I can to prioritize my well-being, my education, and my future.

However, this has placed a significant financial strain on me. I’ve had to hire an immigration attorney to help me figure out how to move forward with my legal status. If I’m unable to submit a new application in time, I risk losing my work permit. That would leave me without income, possibly unable to continue my studies, and at risk of homelessness.

I’ve worked incredibly hard to get to where I am, and I’m determined to keep going. I’m asking for support so I can cover legal and immigration-related expenses and stay on track with school. Your help will allow me to stay safe, continue my education, and rebuild my life.
