Help Migrant Children Access Education in Mexico City

Hello, I’m Fabenson Frisch. I live in Mexico City, and I’ve discovered a way to change the lives of dozens of refugee children—but I need your help to make it happen.
Right here in Mexico City, children from Haiti, Angola, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Colombia, and the Congo are living in tents, far from the nurturing environment they deserve. Many of these children once dreamed of a better life in the United States for themselves and their families. However, given today’s challenges at our border, their hopes have diminished, and many are now left with few options.
A local priest stepped forward to create a school for migrant children—but his initial plan only served Spanish-speaking youngsters. I advocated for also supporting the non-Spanish speakers, and today, thanks to that effort, a dedicated classroom has been set up for these vulnerable kids.
The only missing pieces? We needed to source a committed teacher and the necessary funding to sustain the classroom.
I’m thrilled to share that we’ve found an exceptional Venezuelan teacher, eager to do what she does best—teach. However, our initiative needs your support to cover a six-month educational program that will help these children integrate into Mexican schools by September.
Our $16,000 goal will directly enable us to:

- Provide Essential School Supplies: Supply every child with the tools they need: from notebooks, pencils, and markers to a whiteboard and teaching aids that make learning interactive and fun.
- Enhance Classroom Resources with Technology: Equip the classroom with basic technology like Chromebooks and a Bluetooth speaker to create an interactive and engaging learning environment that enhances the curriculum.
- Ensure Nutritious Meals: Fund weekly meals to give these children the nutrition they need—because no child can learn on an empty stomach.
- Guarantee Connectivity for Learning: Install and support a reliable wifi connection so that modern educational resources and language tools are always within reach.
