My name is Midekai. Some of you may know me as Jay.
Ever since my job at Amazon shut down due to my DSP going out of business, I struggled to maintain my stability. Through a series of unfortunate events not only did I struggle to find solid employment, but my abusive ex boyfriend forced his way back into my life for a few months and further set me back financially back in spring of this year.
While working through that after getting away from him, I also had been relying on unemployment at the time to keep me afloat while still job hunting. Just when I finally landed another job, my landlord got tired of waiting for me to pay rent so he requested I leave, or be evicted. I had to get out of I'd have another eviction on my record on the exact 7th year that my previous eviction was to be wiped from my record. Now, while working towards a new place, I was hit with devastation as during my shift at work, a thief broke into my work van and stole my work bag which had my car keys, wallet with my ID and my payment cards, things like my phone charger and a lot of personal care products. I work in San Francisco but don't live there. People steal routinely out there.
This all happened at the worst possible moment when I needed to move out in a hurry.
I got everything moved out and into storage..after I replaced my storage lock and key due to those being stolen.. so that's taken care of
But the van sadly cleaned out my bank account as I needed to use it to get to and from my job. And they charge per day and mile.
Now without any money for transportation to work or any food for another two weeks, I am asking for any bit of donation that could help me stay afloat. I don't have to pay rent while staying with my sister but even with a decent paying job, this emergency has brought me to my knees. And at the moment my car is sitting without a key at my job near San Francisco and I haven't had enough money to pay a locksmith.
So thank you for reading, and please consider donating or sharing.
