Help Midas Walk Again: Support Needed

This is for our beloved dog, Midas. He suddenly lost his ability to use his hind legs this weekend. We took him to MedVet and they are going to do all they can to help regain his ability to walk again with spinal surgery pending an MRI.

All the money donated goes to the medical bills (~$10k) as we had to take out personal loans and credit cards to pay for this

Update #1:

*We were denied for CareCredit and will be paying this all out of pocket*

-His MRI results aren't great but somewhat expected-

They said he has a herniated disc that is putting substantial pressure on his spinal cord and that they’re gonna go in and fix that. But then they also said that the rest of his spine has quite a few other discs that are questionable. Thet there is a 5 to 15% chance that after four weeks that those ones could also become compromised but they’re gonna go over that with us later after this surgery.

We are giving our best for our wonderful baby Midas, we will keep updates going as we hear them thanks everyone!

Update #2:

He immediately went into surgery after his MRI. The doctor said the damage was extensive and there was barely any disc left- just fragments, jelly, and bleeding. There were some broken blood vessels, blood clots, one of the main nerves in his spine is overly stretched out and his spinal cord was significantly compressed from the disc fragments. BUT otherwise he did great under anesthesia (3-4 hr surgery) and is expected to come home with us tomorrow pending his overnight stay MedVet is truly compassionate with their care team and protocols.
