Hi, my name is Leonard, and I’m a student at UCLA. I’m reaching out because my cat, Microwave, was recently diagnosed with a stomach obstruction that requires emergency surgery. She’s only about two years old, and we just celebrated our one-year anniversary together on the 25th. Microwave means a lot to me—she’s been with me through college, and she’s always been a source of comfort and consistency in my life. Seeing her in pain and not being able to help has been incredibly hard, especially with finals coming up.
I’ve applied for financial aid programs, spoken to multiple vets, and looked into all options, including payment plans and less invasive treatments. But surgery is the only real option at this point. Her surgery is scheduled for next week, and I’m doing everything I can to make sure she gets the care she needs. The costs are overwhelming, especially as a student without income or pet insurance. If you’re able to help—whether it’s through a donation or just by sharing this with others—I’d be incredibly grateful. Every little bit goes directly to her care. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can give.
