Help Micro-Preemie Olesen Twins

On the evening of February 23rd, Rachel went into pre-term labor with her twin girls. At only 24 weeks’ gestation, the Munson Medical team performed an emergency c-section as an effort to preserve the twin’s lives. After a successful surgery, we welcomed two beautiful baby girls to the world. Stella Marie was born at 8:34pm, weighing 1lb 10oz and her sister, Scarlett Elizabeth, was born shortly after at 8:36pm, weighing 1lb 11oz.
 
Within the past three weeks, both girls have had their fair share of scares, complications, and milestones. Due to each baby only having a fifty percent chance of coming home, this is just the beginning of a very long journey for Stella, Scarlett, and their parents. But luckily, Rachel and Michaels mental and physical toughness can already be seen in their two miracle babies. Rachel serves the community as a Michigan State Trooper while her husband, Michael, also serves as a DNR Conservation Officer. They have dedicated their lives to helping others and we hope the favor can be returned.
