Kyler was born by emergency c-section on 2/13/2021 at 3:33am and at only 24 weeks 1 day gestation he is considered a micro-preemie weighing only 1lb 9.5oz and measuring only 12 inches long. His parents weren't ready for him to come so soon and his mom, Jessica, was planning on working a few more months to be able to prepare. No one could have prepared for what Kyler is facing.

He has many health issues and has a long road to recovery. He has had stage 3 brain bleeds, his ventilator is at maximum capacity, he’s on 80% oxygen, his carbon dioxide keeps increasing and his blood pressure is bottoming out even on maximum amounts of medications.

Since Kyler is in the NICU in New Orleans, Jessica has been staying there to be with him. She's been unable to drive home to West Baton Rouge, as she is still recovering from surgery. Her son, Deegan (12), is being cared for by his grandparents for now. However, she will eventually need to be able to travel back and forth. As this time away from both his mother and brother has been very hard on him.

Those of us who know Jessica, know she's too strong to ask for help. Which is why we are asking for her, as no one should have to go through something like this alone. We are asking for any donations you can provide during this troubling time; in addition to any positive thoughts, prayers, and kind words you may have.

Any donations received will be used for lodging, transportation, food, living expenses, and bills while she is recovering from surgery and spending quality time with beautiful Kyler. Anything you can contribute to them would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for any and all of your support.
