Help Micki West with medical bills

Donation protected

My name is Michele West but everyone calls me Micki. About 4 weeks ago while going outside and down our front steps I slipped on ice and fell down the steps. At the time I didn't think I had hurt myself. I work from home and continued to do so. Little by little I noticed my back and right side beginning to hurt more as each day progressed. I also noticed that my right hand was becoming weaker. One day the pain became too intense and took myself to the Urgent Care. They took some X-rays and prescribed some muscle relaxers. The following Monday I followed up with my Pcp, Dr. Keating. He set me up with pain management and I went to that appointment. This doctor set me up for CT scans and told me to go to the ER if it got any worse. So on Saturday, Jan 29th, I took Micah to his dad. My lower back cramped all the way over to our meeting place. On the way back I called my mother to let her know I was taking myself on down to the ER since I was hurting so much. When I walked inside there was no one in the waiting room and they took me straight back to a room. I pulled out the orders for my Ct scan and explained everything to the doc on call. I went back for my first ct
scan. It wasn't long before the doc came back to tell me they saw something suspicious in the first set of scans. He said there were a couple of tumors located on my spine one of which was in my cervical spine pressing up on a nerve in my neck. This has caused damage to my right arm and hand. I was admitted into the hospital for emergency surgery. That first day was spent in a haze of Ct scans, MRI's, and X-rays. Some with contrast and some without contrast. I had surgery on Monday afternoon. I also had a bone marrow biopsy: it took exactly a week for my biopsies to come in. The biopsy's show that the cancer had originated somewhere in the GI Tract. So my next steps are to have an upper endoscopy and a colonoscopy. This will allow the doctors to get a visual of what's going on as well as a chance to biopsy some tissue. All of this is taking up time and money. That being said, I will have a pile of medical bills as well as deductibles and copays that I am going to be responsible for. As a result, I am not going to be able to work for awhile as I'm waiting for her neck to heal. I am also going to need physical therapy to regain function of my right arm and hand. Please pray for me, and if you feel led, consider donating to my medical fund on her Gofund Me. God Bless You All!
