My name is Micki Stafford, and I never imagined I would be in a situation where I’d have to ask for help like this. Today, I was discharged from the nursing rehab center after my insurance denied my staying extra days— even though I am unable to walk, stand, or care for myself on my own.

I’m handicapped, and right now my mobility is extremely limited. I cannot get out of bed without assistance. I cannot safely get to the bathroom, and I can’t stand up from a sitting position. My home is not handicap-accessible, and as it is, I simply cannot function safely or maintain my basic daily needs.

Rehab is not optional for me — it is the only way I can regain my strength, mobility, and independence. Without professional care, I am at serious risk of injury and complications. My doctors agree that rehab is the next essential step, but insurance has left me with no support and nowhere else to turn.

I am humbly asking for help to cover the cost of returning to a nursing rehab facility so I can receive the care, therapy, and support required to recover. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward getting me back into rehab and ensuring I can be safe and cared for during this difficult time.
