Right now, I am a single mom of four, as my husband is detained by ICE. I started Mickey'z Corner from scratch, running everything on my own both at the restaurant and at home. Recently, a severe storm hit Norman, OK, causing us to lose electricity twice in two weeks. Each time, I had to throw away all our inventory, and now I don't have the funds to reopen. This has been heartbreaking—not just for me and my kids, but for our employees and the community we love to serve.

I have no loans out for the business, and I manage all the bills alone. The uncertainty of how to pay payroll, cover rent at home, and keep Mickey'z Corner going is overwhelming. My employees mean so much to me, and I want to make sure they’re taken care of. Our restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it’s a place where we connect with our neighbors and give back whenever we can.
