We’re appealing to you for help on behalf of our friend Mickey, who desperately needs our help. Her van has been reliable for years, but she recently had to pay a big bill for breaks and wheel bearings. Now her van’s compressor and radiator need replacing. As you may know Mickey is living in her van, and she really needs heat this winter. Her van is her home, and she’s living on a tight budget. Without our support she won’t have transportation or a safe and warm place to live. 

Those of you who know Mickey know how kind and generous she is. She has given so much to people in need all her life. Now it’s our turn to pitch in and help support Mickey. 

Our LGBTQ+ community and especially our elders need our support, since they are less likely than straight people to have family support, and more likely to experience hardship and even homelessness, not to mention homophobia.

You may think that her friends are already contributing, and you’re right, but please don’t assume that will be enough.
