Help Mickey Get the Surgery That Could Save His Life

I never imagined I would be here, asking for help, but when it comes to family, you do everything you can. My dog, Mickey, is more than just a pet. He is my family, my companion, and my miracle.

Mickey is a 13-year-old Chihuahua with a heart far bigger than his size. He is a retired service animal who has spent his life giving comfort, love, and peace to the people around him. He has always had a special gift, the ability to bring the family together no matter what was happening. He is a leader, a father, a brother, and the soul of our home.

Over the years, Mickey has been there through everything. He has been with me through heartbreak, through loss, and through nights that felt endless. He has been my reason to keep going when life felt too heavy. The way he looks at me, calm and knowing, reminds me that love can be quiet yet powerful. He has always been the one to comfort everyone else. Now he is the one who needs help.

A few weeks ago, I noticed something wasn’t right. Mickey had swelling near his bottom and was struggling to go to the bathroom. He began to cry in pain, and it broke my heart in ways I can’t describe. After visiting the vet, I learned he has perineal hernias, a painful and dangerous condition where the muscles near the rear weaken and allow organs to push through. It makes it hard for him to relieve himself, and without surgery, it will only get worse. The vet explained that surgery is the only way to help him live comfortably again and prevent his condition from becoming life-threatening. There is a soon deadline of a month to make this happen.

The surgery, medications, and recovery care are far more than I can afford on my own. I am currently unemployed due to the crucial toxicity of my old job. And I really need all the help I can get to save my dog, Mickey. I have been trying everything I can, praying for answers, and trusting that somehow, God will make a way for Mickey.

Mickey has spent his entire life serving, loving, and helping others in the family. He has been my blessing for 13 years, a constant reminder that miracles exist. He deserves comfort, peace, and the chance to live out his senior years surrounded by the family he has held together all this time.
