I don't know where to start to explain my Dad but we all know how genuine and strong he is. I have met hundreds of people and every one has nothing but good things to say about him. We are so blessed that he survived his heart attack and triple bypass.
My parents number one worse nightmare ever, always worried about something catastrophic to happen while self employed. He is the breadwinner of the family. We all know how generous he is, whenever and where ever. My dad is going to be out of work for at least 4-5 months. His restricts are no driving for 30 days and nothing over 10 pounds for at least 3 months. Then work his way up from there. He will have home care; nurses, physical and occupational therapy. Then he will have cardiac therapy. The bills will pile up. We are asking for any donations. It would be so greatly appreciated during this difficult time.
Thank you to everyone who reached out and prayed. We are so grateful.
His story:
On Thursday ,December 15th, he started experiencing chest pains and lots of burping. He saw his cardiologist who ordered up some testing. However, Sunday night, December 18th the symptoms returned. He went to Riverside Hospital. Him and my mom even sat in the parking lot, debating whether or not to go in. An immediate ECG showed abnormalities. They began to do blood work. An enzyme that shows heart damage was elevated. He was quickly admitted. When it was tested again, it was even higher. They performed angiogram on Monday, December 19th. The doctors were unable to perform stenting due to severity. The cardiologist said that there is 99-100% blockage in 3 major arteries. He said that's severe blockage, it has been building up over the past year , and he needed a triple bypass. The cardiovascular surgeon said he can do it the next day. I was on speaker phone for all this and quickly booked a flight for that night to be with my family. Surgery was very successful and uneventful. He was required to stay at least 4 days. However, he developed AFIB, a known possibly afterwards, that didn't resolve with medications. Christmas Day, his team planned for a cardioversion, which is shocking his heart back into normal rhythm. He remained in normal heart rhythm afterwards and was discharged December 26th. We are so happy he is home. Thank you all again for all the prayers.
