Last Thursday, my life changed in an instant when a fire broke out in our home. Smoke was pouring out of the second and third floor windows, and I was terrified for my family. My dog was inside, but I was able to save her, and I had my granddaughter with me—she was so afraid. We lost our home completely, and to make matters worse, we did not have any insurance to help us recover.

Since the fire, we have used all of our funds just to pay for a hotel and food. Now, we have to leave our temporary lodging and are left with only a few essential items and the clothes on our backs. It’s been so difficult trying to find a secure place for my family, and all I want is to feel safe again.

I am reaching out for help because we truly have nowhere else to turn. Any support you can offer will help us secure a safe place to stay, replace basic necessities, and begin to rebuild our lives after this devastating loss.
